Last Semester Reflections

Some reflections from approximately February 10th about being in the last semester.

It’s a bit surprising to find myself in my last semester of seminary and heading toward a new transition with our approaching graduation. Three years have gone by fast! I've started to sense a shift in our class. While we have been engaged by our new classes, the broader focus seems a little less on "here" and academics than in the past and more on the practice of ministry and the future, especially for those being talked to about placement and some who will be adding babies to the family in the next 6 months or less. Similar to when we began practicing services in liturgy class in the fall and it felt like we were ready and it was time, the idea of leaving seminary is both exciting and a bit scary, but as it draws nearer I think it will seem right, like it’s time to go.
