Edited by diarist on August 10 2006 - I've decided to remove the text of my Sr. Sermon because I didn't know if I wanted to leave it out there forever for just anyone to run across.
--------------------
Disclaimer: This sermon was written specifically for our seminary community, this is not something I would preach just anywhere. Since they know me they would know my personality and sense of humor, and also since I know them I knew where I could push the envelope a bit (i.e. recounting a story from my first visit to a seminary - you'll see what I mean).
--------------------------
Texts (Daily Office Year 2, February 22): Psalm 128, 1John 5:1-12,
and Gospel of John 11:45-54 (aka: "The Plot to Kill Jesus")
Senior Sermon: Being the Body of Christ
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of our hearts be always acceptable in your sight O Lord, our strength and our redeemer. Amen.
Refrain: Caiaphas prophesied that "Jesus was about to die for the nation, and not for the nation only, but to gather into one the dispersed children of God."
